Catherine “Cat” Kolodij has joined Falls as Chief Integration Officer. She is assisting Falls senior leadership by helping to building a platform so everyone in the firm has a path forward in learning and development.
Cat moved to Cleveland from Boston in 2015. She most recently served as Business Leader – Marketing, Strategy and Innovation at Progressive. She led her team in marketing strategy practice, and wrote the marketing blueprints and briefs for the company’s $1.5 billion acquisition marketing resulting in a historic double-digit growth.
Prior to Progressive, Cat held positions at Merkley in New York working on brands like Forbes and Citigroup’s Women & Co. She relocated to Boston where she worked for Hill, Holliday, Arnold, and other regional agencies on brands like Dunkin' Donuts, IBM Cognos, Partners Health, BMW Motorcycles, Liberty Mutual, Berklee College of Music, Zildjian, among many others.
At each stop along the journey, she sought to bring the best of traditional storytelling together with the rigor of digital and acquisition marketing. She helped launch the interactive arm of Merkley in 2000, launched the first branded content program for Liberty Mutual “What’s your policy” campaign which helped the brand move up a number of positions in market share. At a regional shop in Boston, she was part of a 5-person Digital Incubator team that flipped the ratio of work from 60% traditional/40% digital to 60% digital/40% traditional in one year.
Beyond strategy and operations, Cat has also become a voice for digital maturation and the need to keep creativity at a brand’s core, having been quoted in Forrester reports, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and the books “Lessons from the Road: Musicians as Business Leaders.”
