Falls Adds Well-Known Journalist to Enrich Content Creation and Management

Falls is pleased to welcome Mary Lou Brink as Senior Director of Content.

Mary Lou brings nearly three decades of journalism experience to the team, serving in both editorial and administrative roles at publications including, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, Fort Wayne News-Sentinel and Midland Daily News.

In addition to her writing expertise, Mary Lou offers a wealth of experience in content management and search engine optimization, with a solid resume of managing websites, social media, niche digital publications. She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ohio University and a master’s degree in communications (Magna Cum Laude) from Purdue. She currently serves on the executive board for the Press Club of Cleveland.

Born in Georgia, Mary Lou spent most of her older childhood and young-adult life in central Ohio. She currently lives in Cleveland (Westpark/Kamm’s Corner neighborhood) with her fiancé and two cats. In her free time, she enjoys searching for beach glass, gardening, reading, wine tasting, Jazzercise, rescuing animals, travel, and endlessly restoring her almost 100-year-old home.

  • Most Craved Candy: Twizzlers (only the original flavor)
  • Secret Talent: Playing piano, flute, piccolo, oboe, upright bass (but haven’t in years, that’s why it’s a secret.)
  • Unknown Fact: I’m pretty much an open book, so not too much is unknown!
  • Beloved CLE Moment: Strolling Lake Erie’s beachfront either at Rocky River Park or Edgewater Park.
